Seniors who will take part in the next artistic classes at the Auchan Gdańsk Shopping Centre and Port Rumia can count on many creative inspirations and the joy of creating together. On Saturday, February 22nd , you will be able to make fabulously colourful clocks using the decoupage technique. Free classes will take place from 12:00 to 17:00.
Cyclic classes for seniors in Pomeranian Auchan Shopping Centres are an opportunity for seniors to spend time in a pleasant atmosphere, meet new people with similar interests and discover their passion for creating art.
We make decorative clocks using the decoupage technique
Decoupage is a decorative technique that involves decorating various objects by sticking thin paper motifs on their surface. In this way, you can achieve the effect of a hand-painted surface. The name comes from the French word découper, meaning “to cut out”.
During the February classes, seniors will learn more about this decoration technique and use it to make fabulously colourful wall clock faces. Then, participants will place a mechanism with hands on the face. This will create a unique, decorative clock.
Participation in creative classes for seniors is free of charge, and all the art materials needed to complete the work will be available on site.
Additionally, the Municipal Cultural Centre has prepared a creative proposal for seniors in Port Rumia. Every month, during the “Active and Creative Senior” meetings, you will be able to learn or refresh your memory about basic crochet stitches and make a colourful square from yarn. At the end of the year, the elements will be combined and a multi-coloured, exceptionally decorative Christmas tree will be created from them.
“Active and Creative Senior” workshops will be held on Saturday, February 22nd from 12:00 to 17:00 in the Auchan Gdańsk Shopping Centre at Szczęśliwa Street 3 in Gdańsk and Port Rumia Auchan Shopping Centre at 108 Grunwaldzka Street. Free admission.
