Cubist portraits and organic products at the fair
18.02
Are you looking for an idea to spend a Saturday in the city? During the next event from the series “Family meetings with ecology” in the Auchan Gdańsk Shopping Centre, participants will learn what cubism was all about and try to make portraits in this style by themselves. Creative workshops will be accompanied by an ecological fair. Free entrance.
Saturday afternoon in the Auchan Gdańsk Shopping Centre will be marked by art. From 12.00 to 17.00, in a special creative zone arranged in the passage of the Shopping Centre, you will be able to get to know cubism, a direction in art popular at the beginning of the 20th century. During free creative workshops, you will be able to get inspired, for example, by the work of Pablo Picasso and paint portraits in the cubist style with your own hands. Is it possible to recognize the portrayed people in the pictures filled with geometric solids that will be created during the classes? Participants will find out.
Participation in the creative workshops is free. Both children and accompanying adults can participate. On site, they will find all the supplies needed to make a portrait.
After emotional moments filled with art, you will be able to visit an ecological fair of local craftsmen. It will be a great opportunity to buy various decorations and ecological products.
The February event, during which cubist portraits will be created, will be another proposal within the series “Family Meetings with Ecology”. In the following months, participants of all ages will be able to take part in creative workshops, learn about various art techniques and learn how to give a “second life” to used things. We invite you to the next meeting on March 11th. We will create spring wreaths together.
The event from the series “Family meetings with ecology” will take place on Saturday, February 18 at the Auchan Gdańsk Shopping Centre at 3 Szczęśliwa Street in Gdańsk. You can take part in creative workshops from 12.00 to 17.00, while commercial stands will be available from 11.00 to 18.00.
